PHILADELPHIA, Jun. 9, 2016 (AMP) — Centenario : Venezuela defeated Uruguay by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a Copa América group stage game on Thursday night at the Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia.
All the action happened in the first half, with Rondón goal in the 36th minute.
The result put the Venezuelans top of Group C with 6 points. Uruguay is bottom with no points. In their last game, Venezuela will meet second-placed Mexico at the Lincoln Financial Field on June 13, while Uruguay will face Jamaica.
