Mexico and Venezuela qualify for the quarter-finals
HOUSTON, Jun. 13, 2016 (AMP) — Centenario : Mexico tied 1-1 with Venezuela (halftime: 0-1), in a Copa América group stage game on Monday night at the NRG Stadium in Houston.
The Venezuelans started off well by taking the lead thanks to Velázquez in the 10th minute. However, even though they were leading 1-0 at half time, they could not prevent a comeback by Mexico with a saving goal from J. M. Corona in the 80th minute.
