La Liga (Week 20) : Bilbao defeats Gijon 2-1
SPAIN, Jan. 29, 2017 (AMP) — La Liga / Match day 20: After three straigth draws, Los Leones bounced back with a 2-1 victory over Sporting Gijon this Sunday.
Sporting Gijon had started off well by taking the lead in the 27th minute with a goal by Croatian forward Cop Duje on penalty. Trailing 1-0 at half time, Los Leones nonetheless manage to reverse the direction of the game by scoring twice in the second period (Muniain '50 and Aduriz '71 on penalty).
Athletic Bilbao remains in 7th place with 32 points from 20 games, 2 points behind Villarreal CF.
