Ligue 1 (Week 9) : Nantes beats Lorient 2-1
FRANCE, Oct. 15, 2016 (AMP) — Ligue 1 / Match day 9: Two wins in a row for Nantes. After their 1-0 win against Bastia on October 1, Nantes continued their sensational form in the Ligue 1 with a 2-1 victory over Lorient this Saturday.
Nantes dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by forward Yacine Bammou in the 42nd minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, Nantes players further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Gillet in the 74th minute.
Nantes climbed to 12nd place with 11 points from 9 games, only one point behind Saint-Etienne, which has a game in hand.
