PORTUGAL, Feb. 28, 2016 (AMP) — Primeira Liga / Match day 24: Two wins in a row for Maritimo. After their 3-4 win against Tondela on February 21, the Verde-Rubros continued their sensational form in the Primeira Liga with a 1-0 victory over Académica Coimbra this Sunday.
45 minutes of play and neither Maritimo nor Académica Coimbra have managed to pull ahead. 0-0 at half time. Everything was decided in the second period with a saving goal by Senegalese forward Diawara Baba in the 49th minute.
CS Maritimo climbed to 11st place with 28 points from 24 games, tie on points with Vitoria FC.
