PORTUGAL, Feb. 29, 2016 (AMP) — Primeira Liga / Match day 24: Two wins in a row for Benfica. After their 1-3 win against Paços de Ferreira on February 20, the Eagles continued their sensational form in the Primeira Liga with a 2-0 victory over União da Madeira this Monday.
Jonas Oliveira scored dual goals
Benfica dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Brazilian forward Jonas Oliveira in the 5th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Eagles further widened their lead in the second period with another goal by Jonas Oliveira in the 76th minute.
SL Benfica climbed to first place with 58 points from 24 games, tie on points with runner-up Sporting Clube de Portugal, which has a game in hand.
