Primeira Liga (Week 23) : Benfica beats Paços de Ferreira 3-1
PORTUGAL, Feb. 20, 2016 (AMP) — Primeira Liga / Match day 23: After losing 1-2 to Porto on February 12, the Eagles bounced back with a 3-1 victory over Paços de Ferreira this Saturday.
Benfica dominated the first half thanks to goals from Mitroglou Kostas ('13) and Jonas Oliveira ('45 on penalty). Leading 2-1 at the break, the Eagles further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Lindelof Victor in the 57th minute.
SL Benfica climbed to first place with 55 points from 23 games, tie on points with runner-up Sporting Clube de Portugal, which has a game in hand.
