Segunda division (Week 40) : Gijon beats Tenerife 2-0
SPAIN, May. 24, 2015 (AMP) — Segunda division / Match day 40: After their 0-0 draw against Alcorcon on May 20, Los Rojiblancos bounced back with a 2-0 victory over Tenerife this Sunday.
Sporting Gijon dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Lopez in the 45th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, Los Rojiblancos further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Castro in the 65th minute.
Real Sporting de Gijon remains in third place with 76 points from 40 games, 2 points behind Girona FC.
