Segunda division (Week 9) : Elche and Gimnastic tied at 4-4
SPAIN, Oct. 8, 2016 (AMP) — Segunda division / Match day 9: The match between Elche and Gimnastic de Tarragona ended in a 4-4 draw on Saturday.
Elche players started off well by taking the lead thanks to goals by Nino Juan ('15, '19) while Gimnastic de Tarragona only scored once Lopez Alex ('12). However, even though they were leading 2-1 at half time, and despite goals by Matilla Javier ('63) and Dorca Albert ('79) in the second period, they could not prevent a comeback by Gimnastic de Tarragona with goals by Tajera Sergio ('67 on penalty), Lopez Alex ('70) and Luc Jean ('75).
Elche CF climbed to 7th place with 10 points from 8 games, tie on points with Real Valladolid.
