Serie A (Week 36) : Verona beats Empoli 2-1
ITALY, May. 17, 2015 (AMP) — Serie A / Match day 36: After their 2-2 draw against Chievo on May 10, the Gialloblu bounced back with a 2-1 victory over Empoli this Sunday.
Empoli midfielder Riccardo Saponara opened the score in the 6th minute, before seeing Hellas Verona catch up in the 24th minute thanks to Vangelis Moras. 1-1 at half time. The Gialloblu eventually won the game in the second period with with a goal by Sala in the 67th minute.
Hellas Verona climbed to 12nd place with 44 points from 36 games, 2 points behind Palermo.
