ITALY, Jan. 7, 2017 (AMP) — Serie A / Match day 19: After losing 2-1 to Atalanta on December 20, the Azzurri returned to winning ways with a 1-0 victory over Palermo this Saturday.
Both teams held off against each other during the first 45 minutes of the game. 0-0 at half time. Everything was settled in the second period with a saving goal by Empoli forward Massimo Maccarone on penalty in the 78th minute.
Empoli FC remains in 17th place with 17 points from 19 games, tie on points with US Sassuolo Calcio, which has a game in hand.
