BORDEAUX, Jun. 24, 1998 (AMP) — France 98 : South Africa tied 2-2 with Saudi Arabia (halftime: 1-1), in a World Cup group stage game on Wednesday afternoon at the Stade Chaban Delmas in Bordeaux.

One goal for both sides in the first half, Bartlett ('18) for South Africa, Al-Jaber ('45 on penalty) for Saudi Arabia and one each in the second, Bartlett ('90 on penalty) for South Africa, Al-Thunayan ('74 on penalty) for Saudi Arabia.

Both teams are eliminated.
