AUCKLAND, Jun. 4, 2001 (AMP) — Korea Japan 2002 (Oceania Qualifiers) : The Solomon Islands defeated the Cook islands by a big score of 9-1 (halftime: 3-1), in a qualifying game for the 2002 FIFA World Cup on Monday afternoon.
The result put the Solomon Islander top of Group 2 with 3 points. In their next game, the Solomon Islands will meet Vanuatu on June 8, while the Cook islands will face Vanuatu.
