La Liga (Week 5) : Real Madrid defeats Elche 5-1
SPAIN, Sep. 23, 2014 (AMP) — La Liga / Match day 5: Two wins in a row for Real Madrid. After their 2-8 win against Deportivo La Coruna on September 20, Los Blancos continued their sensational form in the La Liga with a 5-1 victory over Elche this Tuesday.
Cristiano Ronaldo served up another goal feast
Elche opened the score in the score in the 15th minute thanks to Albacar on penalty, before Real Madrid regained the advantage with Bale ('20) and Ronaldo ('28 on penalty, '32). Leading 3-1 at the break, Los Blancos further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Ronaldo '80/penalty, '90).
Real Madrid climbed to fourth place with 9 points from 5 games, only one point behind Sevilla FC, which has a game in hand.
