SPAIN, Feb. 25, 2017 (AMP) — La Liga / Match day 24: Two wins in a row for Alavés. After their 0-1 win against Deportivo La Coruna on February 18, Los Babazorros continued their sensational form in the La Liga with a 2-1 victory over Valencia this Saturday.
Valencia made Alavés doubt themselves for forty-five minutes. 0-0 at half time. Everything was decided in the second period with goals by Gomez Ibai ('78) and Katai Aleksandar ('86).
Deportivo Alavés climbed to 10th place with 33 points from 24 games, tie on points with Celta Vigo, which has two games in hand.
