La Liga (Week 24) : Sevilla beats Betis 2-1
SPAIN, Feb. 25, 2017 (AMP) — La Liga / Match day 24: Three wins in a row for Sevilla. After their success against Las Palmas and Eibar, Los Sevillistas continued their sensational form in the La Liga with a 2-1 victory over Real Betis this Saturday.
Real Betis had started off well by taking the lead in the 36th minute with a goal by Durmisi Riza. Trailing 1-0 at half time, Los Sevillistas nonetheless manage to reverse the direction of the game by scoring twice in the second period (Mercado Gabriel '56 and Iborra '76).
Sevilla FC climbed to second place with 52 points from 24 games, tie on points with Real Madrid, which has two games in hand.
